2021.12.08 01:33 masterpie300 Should I quit my new job
I've recently got a new job, but it's hard to keep it since it does overlap with my class schedule, and it's stressing me out. I've only been working for a few weeks, and I'm really considering quitting. Not only that, but I also don't want to quit this soon in the job, since it will probably look bad in the future. So should I really quit my new job?

2021.12.08 01:33 thatotherguy321 Will I lose ability to adjust filters if I use Google Photos for backup?
Samsung's Gallery app allows you to adjust filters like portrait mode blurring after the fact. Same for bursts, motion photo, single take. Is the info required to do that stored in meta data in the photos?
I want to backup photos using Google Photos. I came from a Pixel phone, so I already have all my previous photos stored there. I would backup in original resolution. But I would like to preserve the ability to adjust the aforementioned features. Is that possible?
I'm open to other automatic Photo sync and backup options.

2021.12.08 01:33 Wolfrose19th Riverview Institute- Accepting Teachers, Students, and Townsfolk
This a magical boarding school rp set in the modern day. Semi-lit, past tense, 3rd person.
Riverview institute is a boarding school that was created on October 31st of 1692 by the magic users of the Balderg Family, it was during this time that they had escaped the witch hunts they would take to the woods of Salem, Massachusetts to hide from the people they had traveled with.
When Riverview was established it was also decided that the student would be spilt by different sections each representing different concepts, after debating it was decided that the school would use different suites which were Spades, Hearts, Clubs and Diamonds as well as accompanying colors in the uniforms as well as in the rooms and dorms.
It was a decision made by the elders that had survived that they would settle just outside of Salem, it was also decided that only people who had the ability of magic would be allowed to live in Falkirk they also decided to start their own boarding school in said town for those who did not live there and for those who did not wish to live with their parents.
The ages of this school was set from 11 to 18, when a student graduates Riverview if they choose to not attend Raven (the local college in Falkirk.) then Riverview will be presented as a regular school (as despite the years that passed the secret is important to the citizens and the Balderg Family.) As they don't want the non-magical population to know that the exist. currently this is set in 2021

2021.12.08 01:33 Lightseeker501 The Dollar Tree is not worth your support
As I’m not 100% sure of the legality of airing a company’s dirty laundry, I’ll be somewhat vague in this post to allow my friend some plausible deniability. Everything I’m about to say is correct and true to the best of my knowledge.
My friend was hired by the Dollar Tree some years ago. This particular location was one of several around a major US city in the state shaped like a mitten (if you want a hint, think Robocop). Right from the start, they had some concerns. The employees were asked to confirm attendance for monthly safety meetings that never actually occurred. Unless the store was taking a delivery, the back doors of the store were perpetually zip-tied shut. Cashiers could be fired if they racked up too many item voids (a term used by Dollar Tree for the computer function to remove an item from a customer’s purchase). My friend initially brought up their concerns but wasn’t sure how far to push things. They eventually settled into a general state of unease regarding the aforementioned points, wondering what to do.
In late 2019, two assistant managers retired. The third retired just a little while before COVID lockdowns began. The general manager of the store (the only salaried worker) was effectively running the show by themselves. I’m not sure of the timeline, but not long after 2020 went to hell, the district manager basically asked my friend’s general manager to work 12-hour days, 7 days a week. The apparent logic was that a candidate for a assistant supervisor position was lined up to start working at this store. The general manager refused to work for that long each day, but eventually conceded and agreed to work 8-hour shifts, 7 days a week.
The candidate fell through. For whatever reason, the district manager either didn’t care enough or genuinely couldn’t arrange for a replacement so my friend’s general manager could have a day off. It was apparently a cardinal sin to allow the Dollar Tree to close for even a single day. As a result, the general manager wound up working nearly 50 consecutive days without a day off. Coming in early to stock or to take deliveries, staying after the store closed to finish up paperwork, etc. It only ended when a cashier was promoted to assistant manager and finished their training.
My friend was furious with Dollar Tree. They stated that this event was the point where they lost whatever respect they had for the company and its leadership (not that they had much to begin with, but still). They admitted to me that apathy was the reason they continued working for Dollar Tree prior to 2020. Now they stuck around in the hopes of helping their general manager.
In hindsight, my friend wondered if they should have jumped ship and got a better job lined up. They were making around $9.80, just a hair above the mitten state minimum wage. Signs for local job openings offered $13 per hour or more, some with modest sign-on bonuses. They chose to stay but credited the fact that the Dollar Tree refused to offer increased wages as the reason why there were no applications coming in. Why work at a store for minimum wage when you can go somewhere else and do the exact same job but make 50 percent more?
My friend explained that some discussions they had with their coworkers, a few articles on the internet, and a particularly nasty customer caused them to conclude that they needed to be done with the Dollar Tree.
Not long afterward, a new system update caused cashiers to lose even more autonomy than what little they previously enjoyed. Customers came in asking about a news report claiming that prices would increase, something that not even the managers were even aware of. My friend declared that it took weeks before an email was sent to the general manager providing any solid information about what the plan is. The managers are breaking their backs trying to stock the store. There’s a handful of morning cashiers, no midshifters, and one night cashier. Most of them are only semi-reliable. Corporate refuses to allow stores to turn down deliveries, which means dangerously tall mounds of boxes in the storeroom. Goods are being delivered faster than they can be put on the shelf. On more than one occasion, a single manager had to deal with a 1100 piece truck (aka a delivery consisting of some 1100 boxes of goods) when it would normally take a group of three or four.
To top it all off, my friend has told me that Dollar Tree corporate is now insisting upon the store staying open from 8 AM to 10 PM when they’re already stretched too thin as it is. A few months ago, ONE cashier (the only night shift cashier) called out sick for a week and the store was forced to dramatically change its hours. They’re barely hanging on, but corporate wants them to stretch themselves further? One of the managers has a second job and won’t have enough time to get from one to another with this change. The district manager knows this and is still insisting on the holiday hours.
My friend is actively searching for a new job. They want to leave retail far behind them. They’ve expressed in the past and again now that they’ve wondered about challenging the Dollar Tree. They’ve thought about sending an anonymous tip to the Fire Marshal or passing info on to government officials regarding what happened to the general manager. The problem is that they’re afraid of causing a situation where the general manager (who my friend regards as a good manager in a crappy situation) gets thrown under the bus.
In wondering what I could do to help, I realized that the best first step to change things is to talk about them. So, on behalf of my friend, I’d ask you lovely people of the internet to help us. Please share this post and add your stories to it. Help us get the word out that the Dollar Tree is not worth your support.

2021.12.08 01:33 Immortality-Wishes Withdrawal Process Help
I'm trying to send some BTC and USDC to CoinbasePro. Once you add the destination wallet address to Celcius, it gets locked for 24 hours. CoinbasePro generates a new address every time you try to deposit. Will this be a problem once Celcius clears the wallet address? Assuming the address on Celcius could be an "old" one. This is my first time withdrawing from Celcius.
Many thanks in advance.

2021.12.08 01:33 the_gubna How far back does the comic book style idea of "dead parents/guardian inspire the hero" go in storytelling/literature?
As the title says, how far back does this cliche go, and what are some notable early examples? What did different cultures have to say about what losing one or both parents would do to a child?

I don't know if you all have looked ahead in the fixtures, but the next month is ROUGH. We're not going to be favored (by Fivethirtyeight) until January 15th.
After that it gets easier.
So, if the boys get 8 points in their next 8 or so, don't be surprised. We're playing the top half of the table for the next 8 matches, and we just gotta realize it.

2021.12.08 01:33 alpobc1 Copy & Paste for multiple measures the same and time changes.
Hi: Just added Silent Night, very basic version. I want to add more pieces, but I have some that are more complex. How do I add an anacrusis aka pickup measure? Can one add repeat bars, can coda and segno be added or do all the repeats, coda etc. have to be written out? Is it possible for copy and paste for duplicate measures, I'm thinking in particular where say there is X number of measures with two different endings, so the X are played, then repeated, but with a different ending, like a volta in standard notation. Can the time signature be changed mid piece?

2021.12.08 01:33 L4EVUR Are there any soundless drills that do fillings & how loud are dental extractions?
I have severe tinnitus and i dont want to make it worse but i need a filling and an extraction at the gumline done. i just want to know are their any soundless drills or something that can protect our hearing or brain from spiking ?. This is what kept me from going out the dentist for over a decade but NOW my teeth is getting bad. I wake up with an extremely dry mouth/thirst.
oh and real quick can a broken molar that needs extraction possibly help with noise induced tinnitus?
Is it even possible or no.
Thank you all for listening.
